SWEENEY RUSH PRO MOD INAUGURAL “MANUFACTURERS NIGHT" PRESENTED BY MSD SATURDAY AT STATELINE; OVER $7000 IN PRODUCT GIVEAWAYS

(Busti, NY)…The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Pro Mods powered by Pace Performance are over halfway through the inaugural season of competition at The New Stateline Speedway.  This Saturday (July 30) will be an increased purse, 25-lap Sweeney Weekly Series event part of the first ever "Manufacturers Night" presented by MSD Performance as over $7,000 in products will be distributed to Pro Mod racers!  Race time is 7 p.m.

 

There are currently 18 giveaways as each competing racer will win at least one product valued at a minimum of $200 through a random drawing during intermission.  The grand prize is four GM Metric Calipers and three bottles of high performance brake fluid valued at $1,115 compliments of TBM Brakes!  MSD Performance, which is the presenting sponsor of all four Series "Manufactures Nights", has posted the second most valuable prize, which is an MSD 6ALN Ignition Control, MSD Blaster HVC Ignition Coil & MSD 8.5mm Super Spark Plug Wire Set valued at $630.

 

To be eligible for the product giveaways, drivers must attempt to compete in the program and be GM 604 or 602 RUSH Pro Mod-legal.  Drivers do not have to be RUSH members to be eligible for the prizes.  Product certificates are non-transferable and must be redeemed by December 31, 2016 with the exception of the Classic Ink apparel package.

 

"We cannot thank the Scott Family enough for giving us the opportunity to begin developing the RUSH Pro Mod division at Stateline Speedway, stated RUSH Director Vicki Emig.  Also thanks to the inaugural class of racers who believed in the concept and have helped us lay a foundation for the success of the class into the future.  The Pro Mod division has paralleled both our RUSH Late Models and RUSH Sportsman Modifieds in its beginning stages as far as car counts and we fully except the same exceptional growth spurts in the next few years for this crate engine E-Mod-type division." 

 

Through the tremendous support of our great corporate marketing partners, RUSH Pro Mod racers will share in over $22,500 of value in the first year of their program, via their point fund and "Manufacturers Night".  We know the Pro Mod program values will continue to grow, as have the other divisions competing under the RUSH banner through their development, as we look forward to awarding over $225,000 in cash and actual product to RUSH racers this season!      

 

A total of 17 different drivers have competed in the division with the majority being RUSH Pro Mod-legal.  Stateline is allowing regional Econo Mod division racers the ability to participate in the class during the 2016 inaugural season; however, these racers are not be eligible for Saturday's product giveaways or the RUSH point fund of more than $15,000. 

 

Kelly Frederes is the current Sweeney RUSH Pro Mod Weekly Series point leader, which will pay the winner $3,500!  The Russell, Pa. driver has two wins and has yet to finish worse than fourth in any of the 10 completed events to date.  He has a six-point lead on veteran Scott Gurdak, who has one win and all top five finishes!  The Bear Lake, Pa. driver also competes in the RUSH Late Model division.

 

Jason Covey is the third Pro Mod driver that has all top five finishers!  The Clymer, New York resident has the second most wins in the division with three.  The division's top winner is Justin Carlson.  The Sherman, New York racer has four victories and will look to knock out his season worse finishes of 10th and 11th once he eclipses the 12-race threshold. 

 

Completing the RUSH member points are Jeramy Williams, Dennis Asel, Bill Silvis, Brian Mohawk, and Zach Johnson.  Mohawk leads Johnson in the "Futures Cup" points.
